As part of the promotion of gender diversity and its partnership with WOMEN IN AFRICA Initiative, Laurent Dupuch, Chairman of the Management Board of BMCI and Aude de Thuin, Founder of WOMEN IN AFRICA Initiative organized a Local Chapter around the theme “Men With Women, a decisive commitment”.
Several speakers were invited to speak at this meeting about the support of men to women in their career and professional achievements. Zineb Drissi Kaitouni, CEO and Co-Founder of DabaDoc, Kenza Bounjou, Ambassador of Women in Africa in Morocco and Aalya Ghouli, Director of Marketing, Digital Innovation and Strategy of BMCI, spoke at this panel to share their experiences.
Hassan Ba, co-founder of Femmes Africa Solidarité, Philippe Broc, co-author of the book “Hommes sensibles abstenir” and Laurent Dupuch, President of the Management Board of BMCI, were also invited to share their experiences and feelings.
Previously, BMCI signed on May 7, 2018 a partnership with WOMEN IN AFRICA Initiative, first international platform for economic development and support for African women leaders and high potential, for the realization of concrete projects for the promotion diversity of genres.
BMCI organized a first Local Chapter in July 2018, around the theme “Promotion of women in business, a major challenge!”, in the presence of Soumaya Naamane Guessous, a sociologist and Moroccan woman committed to the cause of women and Yasmine Benamour, Administrator and Director General of HEM Business School, who were able to exchange their point of view on this subject.
In terms of diversity, BMCI follows a proactive and committed parity policy, and was able to register in 2017 a rate of 50% of female employees within the Bank; of which 39% are managers, 35% are members of the Executive Committee and 21% are members of the Supervisory Board.
