Business: EBRD encourages women’s entrepreneurship

A boost for women’s entrepreneurship is the goal of the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) through its “Women in Business” program, which targets the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and Oriental regions.

The program will be presented this week in Tangier, it counts with the support in addition to the EBRD of partners such as the European Union and the participation of its banking partners BMCE Bank of Africa and the BMCI.

The program’s approach is based on improving access to finance and know-how for women leaders in SMEs. “Women in Business” has already been rolled out in 18 countries, in partnership with more than 30 local banks.
