“Café La Crème”: The last elements of the case

The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Marrakech has decided to postpone to May 21 the trial of the shooting of the coffee “La Crème” which shook the city of Marrakech in 2017. The court made this decision so that one of the accused (A.H), placed in detention in the local prison of Oudaya, take part in the next hearing.

According to our sources, the defense of the accused had asked the judge, during the last hearings, to grant him a deadline to prepare the plea and summon the witnesses who were heard by the police during the preliminary investigation.

Recall that 17 people are being prosecuted in this case for attempted murder, premeditated murder, constitution of a criminal gang and drug trafficking.

This crime dates back to November 2, 2017 when two Dutch citizens of Dominican and Surinamese origin headed for the “Café La Crème” and opened fire on the customers. This armed assault resulted in one death, a young medical student, and two wounded.
