Nine Moroccan start-ups will present their innovative solutions.
For the third consecutive year, Morocco will be represented at the prestigious Consumer electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas scheduled from January 7 to 10, 2020. Following a competitive selection, 9 Moroccan start-ups will have the chance to present their solutions innovative at one of the biggest technological events in the world.
Supported by the CE3M (Electronic, Mechatronics and Mechanical Cluster of Morocco), the AMC Cluster (Aerospace moroccan cluster) and the United States Consulate General in Casablanca, the start-up ambassadors of Moroccan know-how will benefit from a stand d exhibition in the prestigious Eureka Park area, of a series of B to B business meetings, as well as personalized care and support throughout the show.
Said Benahajjou, president of CE3M and co-initiator of the project, declared that “CES Las Vegas is a fair in which we are participating for the third time. We support around ten start-ups that offer very innovative projects.” Maria El Filali, co-initiator of the project and director of the Grouping of Moroccan Aeronautical and Space Industries (GIMAS), reminded the participants that “the event is a life project. In addition to being business leaders, you will be ambassadors of Moroccan and African entrepreneurship”. This year’s participation is all the more enriching because after the conclusion of the CES, the 9 startuppers will begin a study trip on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the United States. This trip is organized as part of the international visitor leadership program (IVLP), a professional exchange program funded by the United States Department of State.
For 6 days, startuppers will meet several private companies, higher education institutions, and government agencies in Huntsville, Alabama, Los Angeles and California. The goal will be to become familiar with the practices and policies that contribute to an environment conducive to the creation of businesses in the field of technology and aeronautics.
In preparation for the CES, the startuppers benefited, on December 12, 2019 in Dar America, from a workshop where they could practice their pitch, the most important tool to convince clients, investment funds, and partners potential at CES.
