Coronavirus: 21 new confirmed cases in Morocco, 638 in total

Twenty-one (21) new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco from the night of Tuesday to Wednesday at 8:00 am, bringing to 638 the total number of cases of contamination, announces the ministry of Health.

The number of deaths from the coronavirus is 36, while those declared cured are 24, the ministry said on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of analyzes carried out in the laboratory rose to 2,561, said the same source.

The 638 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casa-Settat (179), Marrakech Safi (115), Rabat Salé Kenitra (111), Fès-Meknes (110), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (44), Oriental (26), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (20), Souss-Massa (17), Daraa-tafilalet (13), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the site.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
