A seventh confirmed case of contamination with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) has been recorded in Morocco, announced the Ministry of Health on Friday.
This is a 39-year-old Moroccan citizen who arrived in Casablanca on March 4 from Spain and who presented to the hospital following respiratory symptoms, the ministry said in a statement, saying that the medical staff having suspected an infection with the virus, the sanitary procedures in force were applied and the analyzes carried out at the laboratory of the Pasteur-Morocco institute confirmed its contamination.
The patient is currently under medical assistance in a Casablanca hospital where he is being treated in accordance with the sanitary measures in force, the statement said.
The ministry says that its services are making the necessary arrangements to deal with this type of case, in accordance with national and international health standards.
