Coronavirus: Assessment climbs to 6870 cases in Morocco

One hundred and twenty-nine (129) new cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of contamination cases to 6870 in the Kingdom, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

No new deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, maintaining the number of deaths at 192, said the director of epidemiology and disease control at the Ministry of Health, Mohamed El Youbi, in a statement.

The case fatality rate (the percentage of deaths caused by the virus among the total number of confirmed cases) has remained at 2.8%, he added.

The Ministry of Health invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security, as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities, demonstrating responsibility and patriotism.
