According to a count made on March 28 and based solely on intentions or announcements made in the press, the funds, promises and donations addressed to the Covid-19 Fund exceeded MAD 32.7 billion.
The statement is followed by the firm Africa Advisors. It does not take into account unencrypted contributions such as donations in kind, those that were announced without being encrypted or those of the many individuals who have made deposits to the account opened by the Fund at Bank Al Maghrib.
The Fund has released two billion dirhams for the purchase of health equipment, will provide guarantees for the extension of bank deadlines and will pay the compensation of employees who lost their jobs because of the crisis (MAD 2,000 per month ) as well as allocations to Ramed card holders and to people who find themselves in a precarious situation.
