Coronvirus: RAM’s first flight to Italy

While Royal Air Maroc (RAM) had announced a resumption of its local flights, from June 15, a flight was organized this Thursday, May 28, bound for Italy.

According to sources familiar with the matter, this is an exceptional flight for the benefit of Moroccans residing in Italy, stranded in the Kingdom, after the borders were closed more than two months ago to limit the spread of Covid-19, and wishing to return to their host country to resume their work.

The flight was organized from Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, continues our source, who specifies that several other exceptional flights are to be expected for the benefit of Moroccans living abroad and stranded in Morocco.

It should be recalled that normal flights are still suspended at the national level, given the closure of the borders, maintained by the authorities of the Kingdom until further notice.
