Coventry University to open campus in Morocco

The University of Coventry will open a campus in Casablanca. A memorandum of understanding has been signed with the Moroccan Higher Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) to provide teacher training and other programs in areas such as business and science and technology. SIST will thus invest approximately MAD 150 million (14 million pounds sterling) to deliver the programs of the University of Coventry.

The agreement was signed by Professor John Latham, vice-chancellor of the University of Coventry, and Dr Tariq Obaid, president of SIST. It will also allow partners “to explore joint research, teaching and mobility opportunities to and from the UK campuses of Coventry University for Moroccan staff and students,” he said.
