Covid-19: 18 new confirmed cases in Morocco, 574 in total

Eighteen new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco from the night of Monday until Tuesday at 8:00 am, bringing to 574 the total number of cases of contamination, announces the Ministry of Health.

The number of deaths from coronavirus is 33, while those declared cured are 15, said the ministry on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of laboratory tests amounted to 2,227, the same source said.

The 574 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (167), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (98), Fès-Meknès (98), Marrakech-Safi (104), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (39), Oriental (23), Souss-Massa (18), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (18), Daraa-Tafilalet (8) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1), specifies the site.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
