Covid-19: 791 confirmed cases in Morocco, one new death

Thirty new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Friday at 22:00, bringing to 791 the total number of cases of contamination, announces the Ministry of Health.

The number of remissions was established at 57, with the declaration of a new case of recovery, while one more death was recorded bringing the death toll to 48, specifies the ministry on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the number of cases excluded after negative results of analyzes carried out in the laboratory rose to 3,119, said the same source.

The 791 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (226), Rabat Salé Kenitra (142), Marrakech-Safi (129), Fès-Meknes (117), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (58), Oriental (39), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (25), Daraa-tafilalet (31), Souss-Massa (19), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the site, noting that the Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab region has not registered any case.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
