53 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco from the night of Friday until Saturday at 8:00 am, bringing to 844 the total number of cases of contamination, announces the Ministry of Health.

The number of deaths from the coronavirus stands at 50, while two new healings were recorded, bringing the number of people declared cured to 59, said the ministry on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of analyzes carried out in the laboratory rose to 3,182, it said the same source.

The 844 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casa Settat (241), Marrakech Safi (139), Rabat Salé Kenitra (148), Fès Meknes (121), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (58), Oriental (51), Beni Mellal Khénifra (26), Souss Massa (19), Daraa tafilalet (36), Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra (4) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the site.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
