Covid-19: New assessment in Morocco, 516 positive cases

Thirty-seven new confirmed cases of contamination with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in Morocco from the night of Sunday until Monday at 8:00 am, bringing to 516 the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom so far, announces the Ministry of Health on its site “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

The thirty-seven new cases have been confirmed at the laboratory of the Institut Pasteur-Maroc and at the National Center for Influenza and Respiratory Viruses under the authority of the Rabat Hygiene Institute, the ministry said, adding that the cases excluded continued to a negative laboratory result are 1920.

In addition, the ministry announced that the number of cures stands at 13, while one more death was recorded bringing the total to 27.

The 516 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (149), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (86), Fès-Meknès (88), Marrakech-Safi (94), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (37), the Oriental (21), Souss-Massa (15), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (17), Daraa-Tafilalet (8), Guelmim-Oued Noun (1), specifies the site, noting that no case has been recorded in the regions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by demonstrating responsibility and patriotism.
