Dams: Morocco targets 27 billion m3 of water

Morocco relies on large dams to cope with the water stress that threatens the region. With 145 large dams currently, the Kingdom has just launched a program to reach 179 dams by 2027.

In the Governing Council, Saad-Eddine El Othmani indicated that 14 dams are currently being completed and 20 others should be carried out to increase the storage volume of these infrastructures from 18 to 27 billion m3 of water.
