Egypt: beIN SPORTS revises its decision

A few days after stopping transmission of its channels in Egypt, the beIN SPORTS group reversed its decision.

The Egyptian digital channel company said on its Facebook page that the Qatari group has resumed broadcasting in Egypt.

For its part, beIN SPORTS also announced, via a press release, that its leaders have finally managed to find common ground with Egyptian society. The two sides signed an agreement on Thursday.

Recall that the Qatari channel recently stopped broadcasting in Egypt for more than 24 hours. The sports broadcasting giant was sentenced in March last year to a fine of 18 million euros by the Egyptian Commercial Court for “violation of the law on the principle of competition”. Not to mention the deterioration of diplomatic relations between Doha and Cairo.
