The year 2019 will mark the beginning of the implementation of major reforms and the promulgation of a series of laws, said Thursday, the head of government, Saad Eddine El Othmani.
Speaking at the weekly meeting of the Governing Council, El Othmani called on all members of the executive to redouble efforts each in his department, wishing that the year 2019 is the year of the acceleration of government action towards “the efficient implementation of the objectives and measures contained in the government program”.
The goal is “to achieve together the objectives we all aspire to and the expectations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI vis-à-vis the government so that our country can accede to the rank of emerging countries, this, he said, is possible through “intensified and sustained action”.
After praising all government sectors, El Othmani said that the success of any minister in his department is that of the government as a whole, describing as “important” achievements of 2018, “year of major reforms”.
With the support of the Sovereign, the executive managed to get out a series of laws, some of which are submitted to the parliament while others were published in the Official Bulletin, like the Administrative Deconcentration Charter published at the end of December, he noted, adding that the steering committee will immediately work on a road map that could allow the implementation of this Charter.
In addition, the Head of Government reminded of some models of projects and major reforms of the year 2019, such as the draft law-framework on the education system, education, training and scientific research, the draft law on regional investment centers submitted to parliament, the national plan on democracy and human rights approved by the Government Council and to which the Minister of State for Human Rights provides the final touches, besides the project of development of the system of the social protection, for which the government prepares a global conception.
