Ethiopian Airlines: Boeing black boxes sent to Paris

The black boxes of the plane of “Ethiopian Airlines” that crashed Sunday near Addis Ababa, killing 157 people, were sent to Paris for analysis, the Ethiopian airline announced Thursday.

“An Ethiopian delegation led by the Office of Investigation of Accidents was responsible for transporting two black boxes to Paris,” said the company in a statement relayed by the agency ENA.

The black boxes of the Boeing 737 MAX that crashed Sunday near Addis Ababa were found Monday after hours of research at the scene of the tragedy.

“Ethiopian Airlines”, it is recalled, had decided to immobilize its entire fleet Boeing 737 MAX after the crash.

The plane, which was received just four months ago, was on a scheduled flight to Nairobi and crashed 06 minutes after taking off from Addis Ababa airport near Bishoftu, 60 km from the capital.
