The Council of Government, meeting on Thursday, decided to extend the period of validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory until March 31, 2022, as part of the efforts made to combat the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
During a press briefing held at the end of the Council’s work, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, indicated that the Council adopted draft decree No. 2.22 .45, extending the period of validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory to deal with the spread of Covid-19.
This draft decree aims to extend the period of validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory from Monday February 28, 2022 at 6 p.m. to Thursday March 31, 2022 at 6 p.m., with a view to guaranteeing the effectiveness and efficiency of the measures taken by the public authorities in the context of the fight against the spread of the pandemic linked to Covid-19, specifies the minister.
The text is based on the provisions of article 2 of decree law 2.20.292 of March 23, 2020 relating to the application of the provisions relating to the state of health emergency and the measures of its declaration.
