We have just learned from a reliable source that a Royal Air Force Mirage F1, who was on a training mission, crashed in the Taounate area. According to the FAR General Staff, the pilot is safe and sound.
On a training mission, a Mirage F1 fighter jet from the Royal Air Force crashed on January 21, 2019, around 12:30, in the Taounate region, following a technical breakdown, a communicated by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). The pilot, who managed to eject the plane, is safe and sound, the statement said, adding that the crash, which occurred in an uninhabited area, did not cause any collateral damage.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. A Royal Air Force Mirage F1 plane crashed in 2015, south of the Sidi Slimane Air Base.
