According to the Foreign Exchange indicators of December of the Exchange Office, the flow of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Morocco reached nearly MAD 18.18 billion at the end of December 2019, marking a decrease of 46.8 % YoY.
This decline is explained by the drop in FDI receipts of 29.3%, combined with an increase in expenditure of 15.8%. On the other hand, flows of Moroccan Direct Investments Abroad increased from MAD 3.08 billion in December to MAD 9.33 billion.
For their part, the transfers of Moroccans resident abroad remained stable, at MAD 64.8 billion. As for travel receipts, they reached MAD 78.6 billion (+7.7%), while travel expenses increased by 11%.
