FIFA holds an Executive Committee in Marrakesh

The Executive Committee of the International Football Federation will hold an important meeting in Marrakesh on Tuesday.

Several decisions will be taken at a meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee on Tuesday in the Ocher City. On the menu of the day, important issues such as the enlargement of 32 to 48 teams for the World Cup 2022 and the question of “continental rotation” for each World Cup.

Recall that Morocco, Spain and Portugal intend to submit a joint bid for the organization of the 2030 World Cup. This will not be possible if the FIFA Committee does not approve the definitive change of this principle, alternation between continents.

As argues that UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin is opposed to this change and does not want the Kingdom to be part of it. However, FIFA President Gianni Infantino does not share the same opinion.

Sources indicates that Infantino has always been in favor of a Marocco-Iberian bid. The boss of the world football should defend this proposal and push the members of the executive committee to approve definitively the abandonment of the rotation system, according to sources.

Will Gianni Infantino be in camp? Recall that Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay have already formalized their joint bid for the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
