The European Union court on Tuesday announced the rejection of a request from the Polisario to cancel the mandate given last April to the EU Council to negotiate the fisheries agreement with Morocco.
The separatists’ request was ruled out of order. The polisario believed that the Council of the EU did not have to negotiate an agreement with Morocco which includes the waters of the Moroccan Sahara.
In addition to the decision, the European court has also condemned the Polisario to bear its legal costs, but also those incurred by the Council of the EU and the European Commission in this procedure.
