Florentino Pérez interested in Hazard but not Mbappé

Real Madrid are looking for Belgian striker Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and hope to recruit him this summer, confirmed Wednesday President Merengue Florentino Perez, ensuring however not want to talk about the French Kylian Mbappé, who spoke of a possible departure from Paris SG.

In a river interview given to the Spanish radio Onda Cero on the night of Monday to Tuesday May 28, 2019, the Madrilenian leader has preferred to dodge most of the issues relating to the next transfer window, with the notable exception of Hazard and Captain Merengue Sergio Ramos, for which he confirmed the existence of an offer from a Chinese club – that the Real intends to refuse.

“Hazard, we tried to recruit him for several years. I do not know but I hope he can come this year, “said Perez, while refusing to say more as the Europa League final between Wednesday’s Chelsea and Arsenal approaches.

“I am very interested in the idea that he will come to Madrid, why you hide it, and I hope that this year he will be able to play Real,” he added while the Belgian international will be at the end of the contract in the summer of 2020, which could facilitate negotiations.

Considered a “fantastic player” by coach Zinedine Zidane, returned in March on the merengue bench, Eden Hazard could join the Real after the final of C3 in exchange for about 100 million, according to the press.

Regarding Mbappé, who suggested he could leave the PSG this summer if he had no more responsibilities, Pérez refuted any contact with the French striker.

“We have not spoken with him, and we will not talk,” he said, also dismissing the case of the Brazilian Neymar and saying he wanted to maintain good relations with Paris SG.

“With Zidane, I did not talk about Mbappé or Neymar. Neither with Zidane nor with anyone,” he continued.

As for the case of Ramos (33), Florentino Pérez explained that he had a meeting with the player who received a “very good offer” from a Chinese club, which can not pay a transfer fee because of the very restrictive regulations of the country.

“I told him that it was not possible, that we would talk with the Chinese club but that it was impossible for Real Madrid to let his captain go free,” concluded the president, presenting Ramos as the best paid player of the current merengue workforce.
