Frenchman wanted by Interpol arrested in Marrakech

Police members operating at Marrakech-Menara airport arrested a 58-year-old Frenchman wanted by Interpol last Saturday. The man is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by Switzerland, where he is sentenced to a prison sentence in a case of fraud, says the DGSN.

According to preliminary reports, the accused, who was preparing to board a plane bound for Bordeaux (France), is the subject of a red notice from Interpol and is wanted by the Swiss courts, who had tried him in absentia for fraud when he was in charge of managing a Swiss holding, says Moroccan security services. The respondent was placed in custody pending extradition.
