The list of coaches, hired by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to take control of the various national football teams, was unveiled this Monday in Salé.
Presented by National Technical Director Osian Roberts at a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, the list includes foreign and Moroccan technicians appointed to supervise the U15, U17, U19 and U23 selections.
In addition to former Moroccan footballer Noureddine Naybet, who will be responsible for coaching and improving player performance, the FRMF has set its sights on Frenchman Bernard Simondi who will head the U23 national team with the former Moroccan international Zakaria Aboub as assistant.
The U20 selection will, for its part, be entrusted to the Portuguese João Filipe Aroso who will be assisted in his missions by the former Moroccan international Jamal Alioui. Meanwhile, Spaniard Sergio Piernas will take on the U17s with the help of former Moroccan international Badr Kaddouri.
Regarding the U15, the Federation has hired the Moroccan Tarek Makhnass to take his orders alongside the former Moroccan international Rachid Rokki who will assist him in his mission.
Regarding women’s football, the American Kelly Lindsey will be in charge of overseeing all of the women’s selections and will be able to count on Moroccan technicians Lamia Boumehdi, Fatiha Lassiri, Insaf Hannouk, Zineb El Barouri and Nadia Jilaidi.
