Fuels: The price cap is in the hands of El Othmani

Following consultations led by the government with the group of Moroccan oil companies (GPM) and the National Federation of Fuel Traders in Morocco (FNCCM), Lahcen Daoudi, Minister Delegate for General Affairs and Governance, has transferred again this file to the government.

In a statement to press, the minister said he reached a final agreement on cap on profit margins of fuel distribution companies and that he would submit a detailed report on this to the head of government.

Daoudi was reluctant to release the outline of this report, but pointed out that it included proposals on the implementation of the capping for a 6-month renewable period once, in accordance with Article 4 of the law of freedom of prices and competition.
