The GEFCO logistician announces the delivery of the first two wagons for the transport of vehicles to be assembled at the Ameur Seflia PSA plant in Kenitra.
The company indicates that 45 additional wagons will be delivered to the French car manufacturer from the port of Saint-Nazaire (France) to the port of Tangier by the end of 2019. The wagons will then be operated by the National Railway Office (ONCF) and will transport PSA production from the factory to the Tangier port for export to Europe.
As a reminder, the connection between Kenitra and Tangier will allow PSA to reach a production of 100,000 vehicles per year in 2019, then 200,000 from 2020. For GEFCO, this project will also “strengthen its position in Morocco” where the logistician and the supply chain specialist plans to double its workforce to support its growth.
