HACA sanctions 2M and Al Aoula

According to an article published and inserted in the official bulletin (BO), the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication (HACA), fined 380 million dirhams to 2M and Al Aoula for breaking the legal provisions governing advertising during the month of last Ramadan.

The HACA fined 3 million MAD to 2M and 800,000 dirhams to the Al Aoula chain. The two chains will have to pay their respective fines within thirty days of the date of publication of the decision in the B.O.

According to sources, the two channels would have exceeded the limit allowed in terms of length of diffusion of the spots, as well as the maximum duration of advertising during a space time.

In terms of earnings and incomes, it is easy to understand the reason for their disrespect for the advertising law and the broadcasting of spots, especially during the holy month of Ramadan and more particularly at the time of Iftar.
