Morocco ranks third in terms of hotel projects in Africa, according to a study by “W Hospitality Group”.
With 36 hotel projects underway for some 6,395 rooms, the Kingdom is ahead of Ethiopia and Kenya. Egypt tops the ranking with 51 projects underway, an additional capacity of 15,158 rooms, followed by Nigeria (49 projects and 7,940 rooms).
Regarding the hotels of international groups already in operation, Egypt also occupies the first place with 108 establishments, with a capacity of 35,711 rooms. It is followed by South Africa (24,048 rooms and 195 hotels) and Morocco (12,498 rooms, 75 hotels).
