The trial of the alleged killers of two young Scandinavian tourists, decapitated last December in Imlil, in the Atlas Mountains, opens Thursday in Salé. The two young victims, Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, a 24-year-old Danish student, and her friend Maren Ueland, a 28-year-old Norwegian, were murdered by three individuals who had pledged allegiance to Daesh.
A total of 24 defendants, including the three murderers, must appear before the Criminal Division of the Salé Court of Appeal, for “apology for terrorism”, “harm to the life of people with premeditation” or “terrorist band constitution”.
