Jazzablanca 2019 will welcome Metronomy

The 14th edition of Jazzablanca Festival is pleased to announce the arrival of Metronomy, which will perform on Friday, July 5th on the Anfa Stage.

Electronic and alternative music band formed in 1999 by Joseph Mount, Metronomy has an almost perfect course. Their first album “Nights Out”, released in September 2008, is the album that launched the band’s career, thanks to the singles Radio Ladio, Holiday and the famous Heartbreaker. The album seduced the English press, especially the NME, which ranked it as the fifth best album of the year.

In 2011, the second album The English Riviera gave the group a literally stunning turn. Metronomy is a hit with The Look, The Bay, and Everything Goes My Way, offering international exposure.

The group then released three other successful albums: Late Night Tales (2012), Love Letters (2014) and Summer 08 (2016).

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their first Nights Out cult album, Metronomy has just reissued a new “Luxury” version. Composed of 12 original tracks, the disc also offers 13 bonus tracks between sounds, demos and unpublished remixes.

This reissue comes a few months before the release of a new album.

Metronomy is currently composed of Joseph Mount (compositions, vocals, keyboards and guitar), Anna Prior (drums and vocals), Oscar Cash (saxophone, keyboards, guitar and chorus) and Olugbenga Adelekan (bass and choruses).

Anxious to renew itself constantly, Metronomy offers on stage unique performances with hopping pop atmospheres and happily melancholy.
