Maghreb player of the year: Three nominated Moroccans

Moroccan internationals Mehdi Benatia (Juventus Turin), Hakim Ziyech (Ajax Amsterdam) and Achraf Hakimi (Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund) have been nominated by France Football for the 2018 Maghreb Player of the Year Trophy.

Among the 9 nominees, there are Algerians Youcef Atal (OGC Nice), Baghdad Bounedjah (Al Sadd) and Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City).

For the Tunisians, the nominees are Anice Badri (Espérance sportive de Tunis), Wahbi Khazri (AS Saint-Etienne) and Naïm Sliti (Dijon FCO).

Who will succeed Mehdi Benatia, winner in 2017? Closing of the votes on January 13 at 18 hours.

Recall also that Hakim Ziyech was elected the best sportsman in Morocco for the year 2018, according to a survey conducted by the sports service of the National Radio in 40 national media and whose results were announced this Sunday.
