Maroc Telecom completed the 2018 financial year on a good progression of its indicators. The first telecom operator has a turnover of more than 36 billion dirhams, up 3.1% compared to 2017. This performance results from the “sustained” growth of the revenues of the activities in Morocco (+4.6 %) driven by the increase in uses and data parks, combined with that of new subsidiaries, the group said.
For its part, operating income before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached 17.8 billion dirhams (+4.1%), thanks in particular to the strong growth of EBITDA in Morocco.
The operating result is up 4.7% to 11.05 billion dirhams. In this context, the profit of the group exceeds MAD 6 billion against MAD 5.8 billion a year earlier, an increase of 2.3%. Note that the oeprator will distribute a dividend of 6.83 dirhams per share, up 5.4% from 2017 and representing a total amount of 6 billion dirhams of profit.
