A humor festival par excellence of the ocher city, the Marrakech du Rire (MDR) returns for a 10th edition celebrating ten years of the festival created by Jamel Debbouze.
On social networks, the Franco-Moroccan comedian communicated the dates of this anniversary edition, which marks a turning point in the history of MDR.
“10 years ! We are proud to announce the 10th edition of @marrakechdurire from June 9 to 14! With 10 times more laughs and 10 times more likes,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
Each year and since 2011, Debbouze organizes the Marrakech du Rire, the first French-speaking comedy festival in the world in order to strengthen the links between cultures and to bring together fans of comedy.
During the last 9 editions, several French and Arabic speaking humorists have performed in front of a large audience in the city of Marrakech, attracting around 90,000 festival-goers and reaching 70 million spectators worldwide.
