Mehdi Qotbi celebrates 50 years of artistic activity in Paris

The painter Mehdi Qotbi, president of the National Foundation of Museums (FMN), celebrates until April 11 the fifty years of his artistic activity in Paris, at Artcurial.

After several years of absence, the artist displays, bluntly, his joy of reliving a vernissage in Paris. The president of the FMN who works for the cultural influence of Morocco reaffirms its thirst to devote himself to art. “I do not forget that I was born painter, that I will be a painter until my last breath,” he confides. “Painting is my only language,” he says again.

The exhibition presents a selection of the painter’s emblematic works: acrylic on canvas with a brush entitled “Look on the carpet” as well as a monumental work, a composition of 104 works of a size of 50 x 50 cm each. The whole is completed with collections of poems by Yves Bonnefoy, Aimé Césair and Léopold Sédar Senghor calligraphy by Mehdi Qotbi.
