Michelin, the world leader in tires and mobility, announced in a press release the establishment of a sales agency in Casablanca, Morocco. The new agency will seek to contribute to the professionalization of the use and sale of tires on the Moroccan market, in particular by increasing tire performance, road safety and reducing CO2 emissions.
Gaganjot Singh, President of Michelin, Africa, India and Middle East said: “Historically, we have operated in the country through our partner distributors. They will continue to operate as representatives of Michelin in Morocco thanks to their sales network and logistics capabilities. We are very happy to locate this new sales agency in Morocco and thus expand the opportunities to gain better market knowledge. The opening of this agency strengthens our presence and commitment at a time when the automotive industry landscape and the country are experiencing rapid economic growth.”
The press release adds that the establishment of the sales agency will improve the service levers for customers of the Bibendum brand, reducing the time between ordering and shipping tires and therefore improving access to products for Moroccan consumers.
In Morocco, Michelin supplies its tires for passenger cars, trucks and buses, mines and off-road (construction/agriculture/port) and two-wheelers.
