Young Moroccans called to military service, due to start at the end of next year, will be exempt from income tax (IR).
Thus, the 2019 Finance Law provides for the exemption from income tax on all allowances paid to young recruits during the twelve months of their service in the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
By September, some 10,000 young people will join the army, said the Minister Delegate for National Defense, Abdellatif Loudiyi who said that the service was optional for young Moroccans living abroad and for women.
It should be noted that the budget law provided 500 million dirhams to cover the cost of military service.
