Figures released by the Agricultural Development Agency Morocco (ADA) show that companies from the country have signed contracts worth AED 9 Million at SIAL Middle East since getting involved with the event.
The international food trade fair, currently taking place in Abu Dhabi (10 December – 12 December), allows companies to engage with potential buyers and large purchasing centres in the UAE, and Moroccan products including argan, saffron, and olive oil have proved popular.
This year ADA has brought 24 exhibitors representing 110 cooperatives from Morocco.
Commenting on its participation, ADA director general El Mahdi Arrifi said: “The participation in SIAL Middle East this year aims to capitalize on the achievements of its presence within the previous editions, along with attesting the importance of the Middle East market for the Moroccan food sector. Morocco’s participation in this event highlights the quality and diversity of Moroccan products.”
