15% of the total Spanish imports of fruits and vegetables come from Morocco.
According to the Spanish Federation of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters (Fcexpex), Morocco is Spain’s leading supplier of fruit and vegetables.
By the end of September 2018, the Kingdom’s exports to Spain reached around 5.4 Billion MAD (507 Million euros). This value represents 15% of the total Spanish imports.
Moroccan exports of fruits and vegetables have increased by 174% over the last five years, from 185 Million euros to 507 Mllion euros. In volume, they reached 321.188 tons against 153.530 tons five years ago, an increase of 109%.
