Morocco and Germany commit to DIAF project

On the sidelines of the opening of the SIAM 2019, the two parties signed a declaration of intent on the project “Agricultural and Forestry Technical Dialogue” (DIAF) with a view to deepening cooperation in the field of agriculture and forestry, on the basis of the declaration on cooperation signed in April 2010.

This declaration of intent, which highlights the positive results achieved over many years, is likely to reinforce the existing relations between the two countries and to deepen cooperation in the field of agriculture and forestry, on the basis of the declaration on cooperation signed in April 2010.

The declaration was signed by the Minister of Agriculture, Aziz Akhannouch, and the Secretary of Agriculture in Parliamentary State to the German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, Michael Stübgen.

This project and other complementary measures are intended to contribute to the implementation of the “PMV”, the “National Strategy for Training and Agricultural Research”, the “2020 Strategy for Rural Development in Morocco”, as well as the “National Forest Development Strategy” and the “Ten-Year Plan 2015-2024”.
