The organization reports that after wind and solar energy, a study on the potential of “Power-to-X” in Morocco was carried out and a roadmap for the development of a green hydrogen economy has been developed.
This molecule, essential to the energy transition, is more than ever a promising and future-oriented solution for Morocco. It can be transformed into electricity or fuel, representing a viable alternative to fossil fuels which still remain largely the major source of energy for many societies.
In the future, the kingdom could even become an energy exporter and, with the help of green hydrogen, give a boost to the European and German energy transition, underlines the same source, noting that its geographical proximity with Europe is an asset in this regard.
