Morocco delivers Moscow terrorist from Dagestan

Russian authorities announced the delivery by Morocco to Russia of one of its nationals who fought in Syria in the ranks of the terrorist organization Daesh. “The security forces of the Kingdom of Morocco arrested a Russian citizen, Salamov Ramazan Magomednuriyevich, born in 1970, wanted for his participation in the activities of international terrorist organizations,” says the center for public relations of the Russian Federal Service of Security (FSB).

The individual from the Republic of Dagestan tried to propagate the extremist ideology among the inhabitants of the region, before going to Syria in 2016 to join the Islamic State and participate in the struggle in government troops.

The FSB said that at the beginning of 2018, after the defeat in Syria, Salamov had “tried to settle in the city of Casablanca, but on the basis of evidence provided of its criminal activities, the competent Moroccan authorities have satisfied a request for extradition to Russia,” says the communication of the Russian authorities.
