Morocco had more than 25 million Internet subscribers in 2019

In 2019, Morocco had a fleet of Internet subscribers, up 11.43% to 25.38 million, for a penetration rate of 71.33%.

According to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT), the “mobile Internet” fleet posted annual growth of 11.22% during the past year compared with +2.21% in 2018, reaching 23.68 million subscribers.

In a press release on the evolution of the telecommunications sector in 2019, the ANRT notes that the increase in the mobile Internet fleet has had a direct effect on the use of mobile Data whose traffic has increased by more than 30 % over a year.

For its part, the 4G fleet amounted to 15.72 million, an annual increase of 63.66%, specifies the ANRT, adding that the ADSL fleet reached 1.48 million at the end of December 2019, growing 4.07%.

The fiber optic fleet (FTTH/Fiber To The Home) reached 121,237 subscriptions in 2019 compared to 73,169 a year earlier.
