Morocco is the world’s 11th largest avocado producer, this performance is attributable to the entry into production of new orchards of the Hass variety. These supply the bulk of the shipments destined for export mainly to the European Union.
The first Hass exports started during the first part of November, a little ahead of the usual schedule. Market arrivals should continue to gain momentum, peaking during the month of December and continuing in January.
