The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that Morocco has registered two new cases of coronavirus. They are the wife and daughter of the French tourist who was infected with the virus and who landed in Marrakech on Saturday. The two new victims were placed in solitary confinement, the same source explains, stressing that they carried out the necessary analyzes at the laboratory of the Institut Pasteur-Maroc. The results confirmed that they also contracted the virus.

The two patients receive medical monitoring in a hospital in Marrakech where they will be treated according to the health measures in force, the ministry added. Their state of health is stable and does not cause concern.

The Ministry of Health will continue to communicate with the public and keep them informed of all developments as it has been doing since the onset of this global health emergency.
