Nasser Bourita reacted to reports that Morocco has recalled its ambassadors to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement to the Sputnik news agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has brushed aside these rumors. “These allegations are totally false and unfounded. This information has not been officially announced. Moroccan diplomacy has always announced its decisions and expressed its positions through its official channels and not through an American news agency,” he said.
Recall that a government official told the Associated Press on Thursday (February 7th) that Morocco has withdrawn from the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen. He also stressed that the Kingdom will no longer participate in the military interventions or ministerial meetings of the coalition.
The agency also announced that Morocco has recalled its ambassador to Saudi Arabia. According to the same source, the Kingdom made this decision after the broadcast by the Saudi channel Al Arabya of a special broadcast where it believed to put forward the separatists of Polisario, “representatives of the phantom” SADR, recognized by many countries around the world.
