The National Ports Agency (ANP) has issued a competitive call for the granting of a logging concession for the Sidi Ifni port shipyard.
According to the terms of the document, the concession covers a period of 20 years. The successful concessionaire will be responsible for funding – the amount of which is still unknown – for the development, equipment, operation, maintenance and upkeep of the project. The latter is composed of a 37.32 meters long and 10 meters wide, with a draft of -3 m/zh and terraces with an area of 17 200 m².
Located on the Atlantic Ocean 160 km south of Agadir, the port of Sidi Ifni is mainly for fishing. Its exploitation started since 1989.
