Morocco Takes Part in The Global Meeting on Education in Brussels

A delegation from the Secretariat of state for Vocational Training will take part in Brussels from 3 to 5 December in the World Education Meeting “Global meeting 2030 Education”, initiated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Led by the Secretary of State for Vocational Training, Mohamed El Gherrass, the Moroccan delegation includes the Director of Cooperation and Partnership and the Director of Strategy, Statistics and Planning at the Ministry of Education, vocational training, higher education and scientific research.

The meeting provides an opportunity to highlight progress in meeting the global education commitments set out in the 2030 Agenda for Education, to evaluate policies, strategies and challenges in the area of ​​education, says the secretary of state in a statement. This is an important step in the development of the platform for the 2019 High-level Political Forum, part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This edition will welcome approximately 300 participants from around the world representing regional and international organizations, academic institutions, civil society, the private sector and youth organizations and students.

On the agenda of this meeting are numerous workshops and ministerial meetings that address issues related to education, as well as ways to meet the challenges to achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
