The site Transfermarkt has just published its world ranking of the most expensive nations in terms of numbers. The Moroccan football team comes in 4th position at the African level and is ranked 22nd globally.
TransferMarkt has placed Morocco in the top 25 of the most expensive nations in the world. In this ranking of 100 teams, England are in first place and Cape Verde last. Morocco owes its positioning to players such as Achraf Hakimi, whose market value is estimated at 70 million euros.
The total estimated number of Moroccan players is 229 million euros with big names like Youssef En-Nesyri (48 million euros), Yassine Bounou (18 million euros), and many others. Morocco could have ended up in a better place if the classification had taken into account Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui.
As a reminder, the players’ prices, partly indexed on performance, depend on several other criteria: position, age, contractual situation, image, etc.
